The Tea for One Set

Sold

A low, wide teapot in speckled cream, with a domed lid and a loop handle that sits easy in the hand. Beside it is a mug in the same cream, banded in dark brown at the base and freckled with heavy iron speckles from rim to foot. Tea for one, or tea for two if you share the pot.

The Contour Vase

A matte black neck gives way to a speckled band of cream and dark iron, then to a warm rust-pink body ringed with throwing lines. Before glazing, we brushed on a manganese wash, a dark mineral stain. It settles into every groove left by the wheel, so the rings read as shadow and relief under the glaze. Small blue-gray spots float across the surface where the glaze broke through.

The Redwood Vase

A matte black neck flares over a rust-red body carved all over with short, vertical strokes. Dark glaze pools in every cut, so the surface looks like tall grass, falling rain, or the bark of a redwood, depending on how the light hits it. Small enough for a single stem, or for pens on a desk.
